EGH Judo offer a variety of services to help promote the sport of Judo and its many benefits within the school environment.
Jigaro Kano the founder of Judo, was in fact a school teacher and educator, who ended up as a minister for education for his country. Judo is now taught to all children in Japanese schools and is currently available in 168 countries around the world. Our services include.
Lessons cover the national curriculum key stage 3 & 4 requirements for Physical Education, with Judo included as one of the permitted individual activities for assessment by students for GCSE in Physical Education.
EGH players also regularly represent their schools in competitions run by the British Schools Judo Association.
We have been successfully delivering in both Primary & Secondary Schools for over 4 years and have adapted to meet the specific needs of the educational environment. Whatever your circumstances we have a solution to suit that will make Judo available to your students.
In 2017 the EGH Academy continues to grow, with additional school classes within the Rhondda Cynon Taff and Cardiff areas.
