Do you wear clothes under karate uniform?
Students wear a white or black Gi to Karate classes, unless directed otherwise. The pants should be hemmed, not rolled up. There should be no visible t-shirt under the Gi. Males will wear nothing underneath the Gi jacket.
How do you look good in a karate dress?
- Put on the gi, as you always do.
- Cross your left arm over, holding down your belt, and then raise your right arm.
- Do just like we did on the right side, but reverse.
- Grab ahold of your belt behind you.
- Now hold your belt firmly in front, and lean back.

Does karate gi shrink?
Without the hot mechanical dryer, the gi will still shrink, but not as much. If you’re this close to having your Gi be the perfect size for you, just wash it in warm water and then hang it to dry.
How short should karate pants?
The standard measurement of the bottom of the pants is three to five inches smaller than leg length. Since you’re a beginner, you will start with a white belt. The belt should be long enough for you to wrap it around your waist twice. It should also hang down at the front end, just near the bottom of the jacket.
